| - Went into Safeway buying a few items. When I got to check out, I was not greeted. Point being, do not go to check out with Debbie. Debbie was extremely rude and cold when I interacted to her. Asked if I could borrow a Safeway card, and she told me no. I would have to fill out an application for one. First time I have ever heard that, most cashiers just scan the one they have for me, or give me a Safeway card immediately. I just always loose mine so I always ask to borrow one. Maybe it's because I look young, maybe it's because I'm in college, that I felt like I wasn't being treated equally as the majority of older customers. It wasn't because of the whole card thing, although that put a bad taste in my mouth. When I left, did not get a "have a good day" or a smile, I got a cold, hard, stare. Mixed with an "okay." Because of Debbie, I will inform my family to stop shopping here. I will not be coming back. My family spends pretty big bucks here, but now we are not coming back. Bad taste! Safeway managers, please inform your older workers to treat everyone of any age with respect. Thank you.
