| - As noted by other happy clients, Cathy Brooks is indeed the most passionate dog person I've ever met. When my (very nervous about our dogs) husband and I showed up for a behavioral assessment for our two frenchies, Cathy immediately connected with our dogs and explained her philosophy of care in a common sense way that had us hooked. One of our frenchies did not initially pass the behavioral test (she is a little diva), but Cathy outlined a clear strategy for adjusting her behavior, and within four half-day sessions she was ready for play with the rest of the pack and has demonstrated much better behavior around other dogs ever since. We recently moved to the east coast and were very sad to leave this amazing place behind!
I was thrilled to have found this urban haven for our pups. Having the opportunity to drop our girls off just a few blocks from work to let them play and socialize with a range of dogs (seriously, chihuahuas up to great danes) was better than we could have imagined. The space is impeccable - clean, grassy, shaded, relaxing. Cathy has a unique connection with each of the dogs, and we found her to be incredibly flexible to our and our pups' needs. We were able to bring them in for a half day or full day, different days of the week (with advance notice), and add on boarding at various times as needed.
The rest of the staff at Hydrant Club is equally knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and a genuine pleasure to work with. I never felt an ounce of worry leaving our dogs for a day or a week at the Hydrant Club. Unlike some other daycare and boarding spots we explored, the Hydrant Club is clean, safe, and a calming environment for dogs. Our two frenchies were always thrilled to be dropped off and came back to us happily exhausted and more socially adjusted.
This place is definitely one-of-a-kind - I love it, trust it, and highly recommend it!
