I am hanging my head in shame right now because i thought i wrote a review for this place already. I mean Mary Macleod's is the holy grail of shortbread.... why did i not sing its praises already?!
There are at least a dozen flavors, but less is more in this case my friend. Go with the original and you will not be sorry. If you want to deviate from that, try one of the other flavors out since you get one free cookie per visit. Even the chocolate crunch one which is the shortbread version of a chcocolate chip cookie at Mary Macleod's lacks the butteriness of the OG shortbread. In case you haven't noticed, i love butter.
There is/was a groupon where i think you can get 12 for 12 i think? But i used those bad boys up a long time ago so i dont quite remember. In any case, these things are sooo good it is worth paying full price for. During the holiday season you can also find them at holt renfrew, indigo, and starbucks. But you know, you get a free cookie if you visit the mothership, so why would you buy it at another retailer?
