Paneer Boroshteh - two sunnyside up eggs cooked over fresh halloumi cheese and garlic, sautéed in butter topped with nigella seeds, served with marinated olives, tomatoes, herbs and potatoes, from Port Anzali - as a huge fan of halloumi cheese, that description was enough to brave the Toronto snow and walk down 30 minutes, and wait another 25!
This is a really cute Persian place, with nice traditional decor. I got to sit one one of their traditional carpets (as opposed to a table, see pic!). The hot Persian tea was welcome given the weather, but the paneer boroshteh - wow!! Probably the tastiest brunch I've had in recent times :)
