  • The reviews here amaze me. Two times I have gone in for an oil change, once with my car and the other with my daughter's. They told me both times that we needed a new tie rod, and we'd better get it right away as a safety concern. Knowing how pricey they were, I took the cars to another mechanic out of town. They couldn't believe we were told that as there was nothing wrong with either car. Another time two years ago, I went in to have them look at my power steering. They quoted me $1200 just so they could diagnose the problem. I walked next door to J& H Auto to buy some power steering fluid and was given the name of a mechanic they would recommend. He fixed the problem for $60!!! Yes, the employees at Handel's are very nice, and sound sincere, but definitely get a second opinion. Three out of three times seems a bit suspicious.
