| - We bought a Beautyrest black mattress set from Mattress Firm in Henderson back in September, and while the gentleman was friendly, he didn't give my husband and I much guidance on selecting a mattress set that fit both of our very different body types. I've never had back pain before, but as the months went by I began to notice that I was having residual upper back pain. By the time I realized it was the new mattress causing the problem, it was too late to return to the store. The Beautyrest black line is not cheap, so I did everything else I could to alleviate my back pain- chiropractic, massage, different pillows, foam mattress pads, etc.- but nothing helped. I was at a loss for what to do next, because I didn't want to buy another new mattress to find out it didn't help or made the problem worse. This is when John from Best Mattress came into the picture.
My husband went up to this store to pick up a box spring for our guest room and John was the one who helped him out. My husband happened to mention to John that I was having back pain from our mattress and John asked a little bit more about the mattress, my size, and when the problem started. He immediately said to my husband, "it sounds like the counter pressure from the coils are the culprit." Hubs explained that the current mattress was great for him, but since our sizes and sleeping styles are so different the mattress was a really big problem for me. John suggested we try a Tempur-pedic. So Lance brought me in the next morning to lie on it. We both quickly realized that this is probably one of the few mattresses that would work for both of our bodies- soft enough for my side-sleeping needs and petite frame, but enough low back support for him. John helped us get a great deal on the floor model so we ended up paying about the same as we did for our beautyrest.
I'm happy to report that John's assessment was right on the money! Hubs and I both slept great last night, and my back is pain free for the first time in six months. I'm so relieved my husband chose to get the box spring from that store otherwise we might have never figured this out.
Last but definitely not least, the box spring hubs bought the night before was delivered first thing yesterday morning, then our new set was delivered later that day- the very same day we bought it. This store has excellent customer service, and we will be going to see John for any future mattress purchases.
