CAN I TAKE BACK MY ONE STAR?
I bought a used Kia Soul at Sands on 10/3/2016 and traded in my 2014 Ford Fiesta. A month later and I still hadn't gotten a new sticker for my Kia or a Plate Credit refund on the Ford. I kept receiving notices from Motor Vehicles "Intent To Suspend" my vehicle registration on the Ford. I call Motor Vehicles on Oct. 31st and told them I traded the Ford into Sands Kia and purchased a Soul. This is what I was told by a level two representative:
"As of today we have received no paperwork from Sands Kia processing of tags, plates and registration. Neither have we received a Sold Notice from them re: the Ford you traded in. Therefore we will not be sending you a new tag for your Kia or doing any Plate Refund on the Ford. You need to contact Sands Kia."
I contacted Mr. Von Terch at Sands and he told me I was given "very, very bad information from Motor Vehicles and I would be getting my tag in a few days." He went on to say it was not the dealership's responsibility to process Sold Notice or Plate Refund.
I contacted Motor Vehicles again on Nov. 1st. after filing my own Sold Notice on Motor Vehicle's website and attempting to file my own Plate refund. This was their response:
On Nov 1, 2016, at 9:46 AM, I received an email from Motor Vehicle:
Dear Annie Laure:
We are unable to process your refund request due to the following reason:
Ø Due to the hold placed on the vehicle's record when the temporary plate for your newly purchased vehicle was issued.
Please contact the dealer if you have any questions.
Suzanne
Mr. Von Terch continues to say he is correct and Motor Vehicle's is giving me "very, very bad information." I think not.
NEVER AGAIN. This was the first and last car you will sell me, Mr. Von Terch. And I will be sure to spread the word.
