We called Kristi after a recommendation from a friend who received good results with his training experience. We rescued a puppy and were ready for the challenge that went along with it. We also had an older Boston who was fearful with some anxiety issues and was a rescue also, but we had him for a good 4 years before that so he was well a part of the family. She convinced us that training both dogs would be helpful in getting the puppy trained which was fine and understandable. So, we not only paid for 2 training collars for the dogs at $375 but we paid another $400 up front for what was supposed to be 4 private lessons.
We ended up very sadly having to give our rescue puppy back to the original rescue organization after my Mother-in-law was unable to watch after the rescue dog and our 6 month old daughter at the time. It was a very difficult decision for us and cause some disharmony in our home but after some time we realized the dog was just too much for my mother in law and had to give her back. I called Kristi immediately explaining how difficult this was and I was so very sorry (which I really didn't need to apologize to her necessarily) but I did, and over-explained how sad we were and it was completely my fault adopting an animal without thinking outside the "box" of our home but that my MIL was watching our daughter in our home 2-3 days a week and couldn't keep up with "puppy" behavior. We were thankful at least that the rescue organization was willing to take her back after having her a month...
That being said and explained, she didn't return my texts right away so I know she was ignoring me... when she did finally she said it was "clearly stated" in her contract she does not issue refunds even though this was an UP FRONT payment for services UNRENDERED. I have no understanding for people with no compassion like that I'm sorry... We only used 2 of our appts so technically she owed me back $200.
We have a baby, i'm a NEW mom, our circumstances changed and we didn't need her services anymore. It was hard enough emotionally to accept we had to give the dog back and we made a mistake which I have never in my life done before.
How do you keep an extra $200 of someone's money in a circumstance such as this? I overpaid you for a certain amount of lessons... I could've paid 1 at a time but I didn't (like a fool)..... it's not like it was contracted "4 lessons at a time to pay" I took it upon MYSELF to pay her all that money for then which she did not refund me. Anyone who is a DECENT human being wouldn't do that to somebody.
I asked nicely for my money back and she refused. NOT NICE!!
Do not recommend.
