Completely love everything about Princess Mediterranean Market & Deli from their dine in options to the baklava/namura desserts to take home from the deli area. The lamb shank, falafel, and kabobs were all great meal options. Fortunately our table of 4 got a little bit of everything so we could taste a collection of options offered by Princess. Each platter also came with some very good quality hummus. Their baklava came in 3 varieties in three distinct shapes: pistachio, walnut, and cashew. At $1/piece or $9.99/lb (minimum 12 pieces), I took home a little bit of everything. When I say "take home," I took it all the way back to the Bay Area since I've never seen cashew baklava before. The pistachio baklava seemed the sweetest so I guess it just depends on your personal preference which one to get. When in doubt, just get them all like I did. I don't know how to explain what the namura was exactly like ($1 each or $6.99/lb), but it was a soft slightly sweet pastry with a little bit of coconut flakes inside. I liked the baklava better but the namura was definitely homemade and very unique. Since I've never had namura a before, it's hard to say exactly where it ranks within the namura ladder of quality. All the workers here are very kind and nice people. I will be returning next time I'm in Mesa.
