  • This is the only Japanese restaurant in the entire Phoenix Metro Area that serves authentic Japanese food. I say this as someone who lived in Japan for five years (2004-2009) and just returned from a two week vacation to Japan. Everything on the menu is excellent as we have tried it all over the years. They will make some Japanese dishes that aren't on the menu if they have the items needed on hand (Okonomiyaki, Ramen, Hamachikama, black sesame ice cream, etc...). If you want to experience authentic Japanese food this is it. It is disappointing in a metro area of 4.5 million people there are no other authentic Japanese restaurants but it is what it is.
