  • This was several years ago, but maybe someone could benefit from this information. I would never ever recommend that you take your child here. Twin Pediatrics was our pediatrician for several years. When my son was young I took him in because he had a fever of 103.5 and a rash all over his body. His main complaint was that his ankles hurt very badly and he could barely walk. The doctor there told me that he had strep throat, even though he did not have a sore throat and the strep test was negative. They prescribed antibiotics and sent us home. My children never ever get sick. I called back the next day and reported to them that my child's temperature was now 104.5 and I was very concerned. I was told not to be one of "those moms." I ended up driving him down to John C Lincoln...the whole time telling myself not to be one of "those moms." Thank God I got a second opinion. He was put in an ambulance and sent down to Phoenix Children's Hospital. He ended up in isolation in the ICU. My child had meningitis. We nearly lost him. When we came back as instructed after two weeks for a follow up they were very callous and flippant about it. I was told that they should have realized to pay a little more attention to him because "those middle class moms don't run to the doctor for every little thing because they don't want to pay the co-pay." I was also told that I should just be glad he didn't actually die. What a horrible unprofessional reaction. I will never ever recommend them to anyone.
