again if we didn't stop on our last day at gods boulangerie and patisserie, au pain dore would've gotten five huge stars. their croissants were just like the way we remembered them in France, as well as their pain au chocolat. they were buttery, right texture, super flaky and smelled and looked amazing.
it was so amazing we came back in after breakfast to get more croissants and the best pear tart outside of France for the race. the tart wasn't too sweet or tart, and the tarts pastry base was absolutely something else, just like their croissants.
again,... if we had one local we would be constant regulars, but our 5 stars is reserved for a tiny place in mt. royal.
