With the exception of scheduling conflicts, lack of instruction, and an unpleasant "check-in" during our first grooming appointment at Bone Appetit delivered our pups in perfect condition!
I don't know why it was so difficult, but my husband called to tell me that we weren't on the books even though I made the appointment in-person the night before and watched the woman who assisted me write my name down with a pencil. He was also frustrated because they asked him for their vaccination records (which he didn't have) because we weren't instructed to produce such info. I told the woman that it was the first time we were bringing them in and it would have been nice for her to remind me to bring that information before our appointment.
Thankfully, I had it on hand and I was able to scan it and send it to him all while he was waiting. It could have been avoided with proper instruction, in my opinion.
The overall experience made us feel like they were doing us a favor by "squeezing us in" even though I had made an appointment the day before. I didn't ask to be "squeezed in". I asked if they were available to take our dogs to which she could have said no.
On a positive note, our dogs were exactly as we requested, happy as can be, they were dolled up, and even got a treat for the road.
Now that we know what to expect, I will be making appointments with more lead time and making sure they have our records up to date.
