| - We love this place. My oldest is naturally good at math but suddenly started having problems and declining grades, and he had pretty much lost all faith in himself because he just was not understanding the way math was being taught in school. I am also a math brain, but I was waaaayyyy too impatient to figure out what needed to be done to help him. Thank goodness we gave this place a try. Mathnasium is really great at finding the "holes" in a child's knowledge and working to fill them in, and they do it in a fun and rewarding way. I love to sneak in and see my child before he sees me, because he usually is working diligently and is completely focused. He tells me it is fun!!! His math homework is much easier for him now, and most of all, he has some confidence back in his own "math brain." It has only been about 6 weeks but the difference is notable. My only complaints (suggestions maybe) are the following minor items: (1) I wish their hours included a few additional weekend hours, and (2) I also wish they offered some individual tutoring packages for those that cannot afford the monthly commitment. It does not work out to be a lot per session, and for us it is worth it, but I do know some others that do not have the ability to commit to such a monthly investment and it would be nice for them to have the opportunity in some manner - even if maybe they might not be able to realize the full benefit (because we saw improvement right away after just a few sessions - our experience has been so great we would want to share it). Even with those issues I wish I could split a star, as 4 1/2 seems perfect to me. We are happy customers. And as a side note, the owner of this location is very nice.
