| - Stopped off at The Vig for a post-work week get together with some colleagues. I found the place to be pretty good, albeit a tad expensive.
Upon arriving at The Vig, I quickly realized that there was no parking available that wasn't valet. The sign next to the valet area said "complimentary", so I just pulled up and gave the keys of my car to the guy working there.
As I walked inside, I noticed a very cool exposed steel and huge window section near the back, which almost gave the impression of it actually being outside. Overall, I found the atmosphere and vibe of the place to be very cool and industrial-chic.
For drinks and food, we ordered sliders, chips and salsa, wings, and cocktails. I had a "Summer Survivor" and it was pretty awesome. It definitely had a nice little spicy "kick" to it. Food and drinks were brought out regularly, so I was happy with the service that night.
My only concern with The Vig was the "complimentary" valet. I felt bad because I didn't bring any cash with me to tip the valet guy and he looked at me like he was clearly expecting a tip. Wish I had known that self-parking wasn't an option before I arrived.
Perhaps non-mandatory valet parking would be an helpful. Even if the parking was across the street, folks would rather do that than stiff a valet guy at the end of a good evening. Other than that, I found The Vig to be a nice and relaxing place to chill with others.
Good times at The Vig. 4-stars overall!
