HORRIBLE. I've signed my nieces up for other martial arts programs in the central Phoenix area and when my son peaked an interest I thought I'd give this place a try since I get my nails done right next door and it's in my neighborhood. Why not right? It's a very small place and very muggy inside. I didn't expect that. Everyone is pretty much crammed in there sometimes no where to sit and enjoy watching your child learn. More importantly the program was NOT helpful. There's not so much of an introduction or any warming up to the program. The kids start and it's almost like throwing them to the wolves. How is your child suppose to thoroughly learn techniques if your just shouting out Korean words that he has no idea what your saying? My son went in confident and ready to learn and left a little humiliated and intimidated to come to the next class. They then send you home with a paper to teach your kid the techniques, isn't that what I'm paying you for? It was a waste of $69 dollars and the staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. The free martial arts classes given by the elementary schools are way better than this program.. And before you ask I did give it a try more than one class. My son attended 3 classes but what did it for me was half way through a class my son gave up because he had no clue what was going on nor was any instructors trying to encourage and help him out. Feeling out of place, he came and sat down by me. We stayed and watched just so he could still see what else he will be learning and at the end the instructor give a little "pep talk" to the kids and subliminally scolded my child for "quiting" in her words. She said,"thank your for not quiting. Do we ever quit? No we don't quit. We're not quitters!" I felt bad for even putting my son through those classes I just hope it doesn't taint his interest for learning martial arts else where. Horrible all the way around!
